Are you Scared of Nature?

Are you Scared of Nature?

Our society has become scared of nature.

We live in a time where we want to sanitize our hands to the outside world. Has no one ever heard of the Hygiene Hypothesis? This is where the lack of bugs and dirt in our guts, suppresses our immune systems. It is no wonder we are getting sicker and at a younger and younger age.

What if nature was the key to our freedom?

What if the sun is the very key and source to our life and it is not something to be scared of?

Are you scared of bugs or snakes? Are you fearful of dirt and germs?

WHY??

Our ancestors lived at one with Mother Earth. The earth is our Divine Mother; she is the very breast that brings us life. How can we allow her to nurture, nourish and educate us when we fear her? We cannot love and fear at the same time.

This Blog was written in nature, amongst the bird song, the wind in the trees and the insects doing their thing. I feel safe here because I respect and love the earth. When we connect to the earth she will guide us and give us the signs to safety, for she is the nurturing and healing mother.

As mother earth brings her own medicine, so do the animals and the bugs. They carry their own messages and languages and it is us as ‘smart’ humans who have chosen to step away. We live in a symbiotic relationship; our waste is their food and we use their waste to enhance our food. We think we can splice, replicate or copy right nature and who are we fooling. I am sure she giggles to herself at our silly antics.

Nature has been here from the beginning of earth’s birth, for all its existence. We have been here for but a spec on time on that timeline. She could shake us off at any time, like a dog shakes water off its wet coat. I am sure that the more we fear and hate her, the more likely this could happen.

Flies and mosquitoes buzz around us. They show us the little things that annoy us in our life. Ants invade our homes and want to teach us patience, so we poison then and get on with our busy and chaotic lives.

Is this really working for us? Are we becoming healthier and happier?

We are the earth, we are nature and yet we see ourselves as separate ‘higher’ or ‘greater’ beings. Who are the intelligent ones?

The birds sing, swoop and play in their flight. The wild animals run away and hide from humanity whenever we get close. Who would blame them, when our intention is to shoot or harm them?

Animals hunt for survival, not for sport, so who are the intelligent ones?

We have stopped loving the land, the sun, the insects and nature. The irony of this is that it has created a greater separation with us. Whatever we fight the war on, we own.

This very separation we have, plants seeds of separation, vibrations of disconnection and withdrawal onto the planet. We are living with thoughts of brutality, fear, calamity and blame. We read it every day in our newspapers and see it on the headlines. This energy is permeating our planet. Fear and loathing.

Where does this energy go?

Could it be played out in the hurricanes, volcanoes, storms, tornadoes and tsunamis? Is our separateness adding to the earth separateness?

This would make sense to me as the violence in our world escalates, it has to go somewhere. Energy is never lost and we are all composed of energy, humans, bugs, dirt and the planet alike.

So what if we started living a new way?

How would it be to have peace within yourself, to love and accept yourself more and more each day? As you learn to do this within yourself, so will you learn to love your external world and to accept and love others more to.

How about planting seeds of love and joy and then nurturing them?

Remember not all seeds make it and the only way they make it is with consistent attention, love and food. A bit like us. Nature’s seeds know what they want and they send our frequencies to help attract this into their lives. What if we did the same thing?

Do we know what we want? What is your vision for life?

So as the humans on this planet stop loving the land, the seeds, the bees, the very plants that sustain all life will have a harder time using their own vitality in this sea of chaos.

Do not forget that the very breath of plants is our very breath of life. This is our symbiotic relationship, though plants do not really need us, we can be culled at any moment and those connected to the breast of Mother Nature will feel it and know it.

We need nature to live. Let go of your fear of the sun and lie naked in it. Give appreciation to your salad and your greens. Bless the animals that have given their life for your food and know the consciousness of the food that you eat is of the utmost value and importance.

I ask for you, and me, to start balancing our lives in nature and to remember how our ancestors lived, at one with nature. And the next time you want to poison those bugs, or kill that spider, think about relocating that spider to a new place away from yours. Let him or her go and wish them well in their new space. Ask them to respect yours. Allow one tenth of your veggie garden to nature, tell the bugs what plants they can have and to leave your plants alone. Try it.

I challenge you to feel your nakedness in Mother Nature and to see how great it feels.

Go On. I dare you!
