Death of Spirit

Death of Spirit

Technology will save us we are told.

It will find the cure and yet we are still suffering with higher numbers of chronic disease, depression and our quality of life continues to decline. We might live longer, though what a life suppressed, merely existing and not allowed to shine the true radiance that we are.

Yesterday I was at a children’s adventure maze. The father says

“Don’t go too far you will get lost.”

Really, you are in a maze, in an area where we get lost and we find out selves over and over again. This place is built securely for children to run free and live and learn and get lost.

I hear mothers say “Get down from that tree you might hurt yourself.”

Is it not from getting hurt that we learn and our spirit grows. We learn to hold on tighter, to judge distance better or that if we fall from heights there are consequences and it could hurt.

We are sanitised from birth. As soon as we are born all signs of the body expressing itself is suppressed and subdued. This sanitises and sterilises our souls.

We have to learn by feeling the hurt and the pain, we do not learn by being wrapped in cotton wool. What is the fun in this?

I see people in relationships, just getting along. Why settle for getting along? Have you not had enough of that? Are you not sick of that?

Then do something about it, take action NOW.

I miss seeing children climbing trees, riding their bikes up and down the streets. The even sadder thing about it is that it is the parent’s fears that stop the kids being kids. Start to have some faith in community, be the one responsible for creating the safe community and stop hiding behind the fear stories being told on your TV or newspaper.

Lighten up every one. What is the point of having these bodies?

To laugh until it hurts inside, to feel the deep emptiness of tears, to gasp in shock and to stop in fear. These things help us to learn, to grow. Simply see it for what it is and let it go.

It is now time for us to shine brightly, to awaken from our slumber.

To know that when we, or our kids get sick it is OK. Our body is cleaning and healing.

We do not have to suppress it or shut it down.

Enjoy being sick, snuggle up in your blanket and make the most of it.

Stop the drugs that deaden you even more. I give you permission to be sad and sick. Great growth comes from surrender.

There is a light and I have helped many to turn on their light for over 35 years.
